r.t.w. ~ reading the writers and the South Dallas Cultural Center present a reading of the play, Sty of the Blind Pig, by Philip Hayes Dean. Set on the south side of Chicago, we meet Alberta, a spinster who has to wrangle with Weedy, her super religious, old-fashioned, controlling mother. Into their complicated mother-daughter relationship, comes Blind Jordan, a street singer searching for a woman from his past. In this comedy/drama, Dean gives us a poignant, funny, sad and complex story of love, life and loss.

The reading features Ms. Irma P. Hall, with Wilbur Penn, Bryan Pitts and vickie Washington, rtw producer.
